OVERVIEW
Located between Beaufort and Hilton Head Island, Oldfield overlooks a spectacular horseshoe bend in the Okatie River, deep in South Carolina's legendary Lowcountry. Its 860 acres are replete with the magnificent moss-draped live oaks and dramatic marsh vistas for which this area is known.
"We dream of getting a site like this one," said Greg Norman, when asked about Oldfield. "And since this is our first course in the Lowcountry, we want to make it something special."
From all indications, Norman, who visited the site five times in the first 90 days of construction, will do just that.
The course will wind across broad savannas of broomgrass and palmetto up to the expansive marshes of the Okatie River.
With five sets of tees, Oldfield will be highly playable, as well as scenic.
Members will enjoy the Golf House with its grill room, pro shop and men's and ladies' locker rooms.
