OVERVIEW
The River Club is an 18-hole course designed by the legendary Greg Norman, who has also created courses for Crescent Communities at The Point near Charlotte, N.C., and Oldfield in Beaufort, S.C. The River Club proudly follows in this tradition.
As is his style, Norman designed the course at The River Club to accent the natural features of the land. A day on the course offers a challenging round and a tour of the scenic highlights along the Chattahoochee River.
Nine of The River Club's 18 holes play across or along one of our beautiful lakes. And, several play alongside other fairways, the ultimate effect of which is to create an intimate, park-like feel that beautifies the course and makes it more accessible. The course design also offers close relationship between many greens and tees, allowing for speedier play.
The River Club earned certification in environmental planning from the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary System (ACSS), an international program administered by Audubon International. The ACSS program for golf courses advises country clubs and golf courses on effective conservation measures and wildlife enhancement projects.
